Eefje Vandamme is an independent intellectual property (IP) consultant with a broad experience. Shortly after her graduation as an electrical engineer specialized in photonics, she founded her own high-tech start-up company and continued in photonics business for quite some years, whereas she later on was responsible for IP within the display company Barco. Afterwards, she moved on towards software, generated under the umbrella of Flanders’ strategic research centre iMinds, where she acted as IP manager and important liaison between academics and industry, particularly in terms of collaboration, open innovation and technology transfer.
Within her consultancy business, Eefje Vandamme advises e.g. in protective means for new ideas, while informing you on the (potential) pitfalls and legal framework to cope with. She offers support in valorizing IP thereby maximizing company profit. In terms of collaboration, she assists in partner searching and setting-up strategic alliances, defining an appropriate cooperation model and agreement principles, while taking into account the concerned parties’ IP. Moreover, she communicates with you in Dutch, English, French and German.
