When particularly targeting broad societal challenges, or by stimulating certain industry or technology sector, large consortia platforms consisting of multiple project partners are typically executing such a project. Hereby referring e.g. to funding research programs of the European Commission (such as FP7…), particularly large consortia collaborations are challenged with discussions and negotiations in finding the right balance on every partner’s needs and requirements, determining and identifying each party’s ownership, and defining and granting specific IP rights during as well as after the project for exploitation purposes.
